bakebound.shop is a fake online shop presenting itself as "Cake Decorating Supplies & Classes | Cakers Warehouse". It borrows a cake-supply retailer's name to target home bakers and decorators looking for tools, ingredients or classes. PhishDestroy first saw it on 2026-10-10. On 2026-10-19 the site was still online and serving its storefront.
How the scam works
The storefront is built to look like a specialist baking supplier. It lists products and classes that buyers would expect from a real decorating store. Shops like this usually take payment at checkout and then ship nothing, ship cheap substitutes, or stop responding once the money clears. Victims lose what they paid and also hand over their card details, delivery address and contact information. Those details can later be used for fraudulent charges or follow-up scams.
Evidence
On 2026-10-12, six of 92 VirusTotal engines flagged the domain: alphaMountain.ai, CRDF, Gridinsoft, LevelBlue, Netcraft and SOCRadar. That is a small share, but Netcraft and CRDF specialise in fraud and phishing feeds, so their agreement matters. urlscan.io returned a malicious verdict and specifically identified the page as a fake shop, which matches our classification. The domain appears in four AlienVault OTX threat pulses and is listed on the PhishDestroy blocklist.
Infrastructure
The domain was registered through Dynadot Inc. on 2026-07-27. It ran for roughly 75 days before PhishDestroy detected it, a common pattern for fake shops that collect orders quietly before reports pile up. It is hosted on the network of Malakmadze Web LLC, a provider registered in Georgia, with the server itself located in the United States. The site uses a free Let's Encrypt certificate, so the padlock in the browser says nothing about whether the shop is genuine.
What to do
If you ordered from bakebound.shop, contact your bank or card issuer now, report the transaction as fraud and request a chargeback; don't wait for a delivery that is unlikely to arrive. Consider replacing the card if you entered its details. Be wary of emails, texts or calls that mention your order or offer a refund, since scammers reuse buyer details for second-stage fraud. If you created an account there, change that password anywhere you reused it. Security teams should block the domain at DNS or proxy level and flag payments to it in fraud monitoring.
