How the scam works
Fake shops like this copy the look and wording of a real product page, here a nostalgic film-camera pitch under the Flashback name, and usually pair it with steep discounts or "limited stock" pressure. The checkout collects your name, address and payment details. You lose the money you paid, and often nothing arrives or a cheap substitute is shipped. Card details and personal data entered at checkout can also be reused for further fraud.
Evidence
On 2026-10-15, 7 of 92 VirusTotal engines flagged the domain: alphaMountain.ai, CRDF, Forcepoint ThreatSeeker, Gridinsoft, LevelBlue, SOCRadar and URLQuery. That is a minority of engines, but it is a spread of independent vendors reaching the same conclusion. urlscan.io went further, rating the site malicious and tagging it specifically as a fake shop. The domain also appears in three AlienVault OTX threat pulses, which shows other researchers are tracking it.
Infrastructure
The domain was registered through Dynadot Inc. on 2026-06-04, about four months before PhishDestroy detected it. That gap fits a store that was built and promoted before anyone reported it. It resolves to 193.162.133.218 on a network operated by Malakmadze Web LLC, a Georgian-registered provider, with the address geolocated to the United States. The domain name, backpulse, has nothing to do with the Flashback brand shown on the page, which is a common pattern for throwaway storefronts.
What to do
Do not place orders on backpulse.shop. If you already paid by card, contact your bank or card issuer now to dispute the charge as non-delivery or fraud. Keep your order confirmation, emails and screenshots as evidence. Watch your statements for unfamiliar charges and consider replacing the card. If you created an account, change that password anywhere you reused it. Security teams should block the domain and its hosting IP and warn users about fake camera-shop ads leading to it.
