How the scam works
Fake shops like AusterFit copy the look of a legitimate retailer, list popular products such as weights, benches or resistance gear at attractive prices, and push visitors through a normal-looking checkout. The buyer pays, and then the goods never arrive, a cheap substitute shows up, or the store stops responding to support requests. Victims lose the purchase amount. The card details, name, address and phone number they entered at checkout can also be reused for further fraud or targeted follow-up scams.
Evidence
urlscan.io rated the site malicious and specifically identified it as a fake shop, which matches our classification. On 2026-10-12, 7 of 92 VirusTotal engines flagged the domain: alphaMountain.ai, CRDF, Forcepoint ThreatSeeker, Gridinsoft, LevelBlue, Netcraft and SOCRadar. That is a minority of engines, but the flags come from several independent vendors, and that kind of spread is typical for young fake stores before wider coverage catches up. The domain also appears in 4 AlienVault OTX threat pulses.
Infrastructure
The domain was registered through Spaceship, Inc. on 2026-03-26, about six and a half months before we detected it. That gap suggests the store may have been prepared well in advance or operated quietly for some time. It is hosted on a network belonging to Malakmadze Web LLC, a Georgian provider, with the server located in the US. The Let's Encrypt certificate is free and automatic, so the padlock in the browser says nothing about whether the shop is genuine.
