auremuse.shop is a fake online shop. It presents itself in Dutch as "Dé specialist in wasbare dekbedden | Zelesta", a store specialising in washable duvets, which aims it at shoppers in the Netherlands and Flanders. The domain name has nothing to do with the Zelesta brand on the page. PhishDestroy first flagged it on 2026-10-08, and it was still online with its storefront live on 2026-10-19.
How the scam works
Fake shops like this copy the look of a niche home-goods retailer and add steep discounts, countdown timers and reassuring return policies. Bedding is a good bait because buyers compare prices and order once. Victims pay at checkout and then receive nothing, a cheap item unrelated to the order, or a tracking number that leads nowhere. The operators also collect names, addresses, phone numbers and payment details, which can be reused for further fraud.
Evidence
On 2026-10-11, 10 of 92 VirusTotal engines flagged the domain, including alphaMountain.ai, BitDefender, ESET, Forcepoint ThreatSeeker, Fortinet, G-Data, Gridinsoft and LevelBlue. That is a modest share, but these are well-known vendors that reached the same conclusion independently. urlscan.io rated the site malicious and specifically identified it as a fake shop. The domain also appears in four AlienVault OTX threat pulses, and PhishDestroy blocklists it.
Infrastructure
The domain was registered through Dynadot Inc. on 2026-05-29, about four months before PhishDestroy detected it. Fake shops are often registered early and left unused for a while so they don't look brand new to filters and buyers. The site is hosted on the Malakmadze Web LLC network in the United States, far from the Dutch-speaking customers it targets. Its free Let's Encrypt certificate gives it a browser padlock, which says nothing about whether the shop is honest.
What to do
If you ordered from this site, contact your bank or card issuer now, report the payment as fraud and ask for a chargeback. Keep the order confirmation and any emails as proof. Do not pay any extra "customs" or "shipping" fees the seller asks for. Expect phishing emails or texts that use your order details, and change your password anywhere you reused the one from this site. Defenders should block auremuse.shop and watch for sister .shop domains that copy the same Zelesta storefront.
