How the scam works
Fake gear shops like this copy the look and branding of a real retailer, then list popular items at prices low enough to rush a purchase. At checkout the victim hands over a name, shipping address, email and payment card details, and the money goes to the operators. The usual outcome is that nothing arrives, or a cheap substitute does, while the card details remain available for further fraud. The .shop domain and the store-style page title help it pass as a legitimate merchant at a glance.
Evidence
On 2026-10-06, 10 of 91 VirusTotal engines flagged the domain. The vendors included alphaMountain.ai, CRDF, ESET, Fortinet, G-Data, Gridinsoft, LevelBlue and Netcraft, which is a meaningful spread of independent vendors for a storefront this new. urlscan.io returned a malicious verdict and specifically tagged the page as a fake shop. Spamhaus lists the domain in its DBL as spam, and it appears in 4 AlienVault OTX threat pulses alongside the PhishDestroy blocklist.
Infrastructure
The domain was registered through Dynadot Inc. on 2026-04-21, about five and a half months before we detected it. That gap fits a domain that was registered early and later put into use as a storefront. It resolves to 162.222.90.37 on the Malakmadze Web LLC network. The network is registered in Georgia, while the IP geolocates to the US.
What to do
If you ordered from this site, call your card issuer right away. Report the charge as fraud, ask for a chargeback and have the card replaced. Watch your statements for small test charges in the following weeks.
