arataglow.shop is a fake online store that presents itself as "Hair and Scalp Science Co. | Arata" and borrows the Arata hair care name to attract shoppers looking for scalp treatments and hair products. PhishDestroy first saw it on 2026-10-07 and classifies it as an e-commerce scam. On 2026-10-19 the site was still online and serving its storefront, so it can still take orders.
How the scam works
Shops like this copy the look of a real beauty brand, list products at tempting prices, and push visitors to a checkout page. Once a buyer pays, the goods either never ship or a cheap item unrelated to the order turns up, and support stops answering. The checkout also captures the buyer's name, address, email and card details, which can be reused for further fraud or sold.
Evidence
Nine of 92 VirusTotal engines flagged the domain on 2026-10-07. The flagging vendors include alphaMountain.ai, BitDefender, CRDF, Forcepoint ThreatSeeker, G-Data, Gridinsoft, LevelBlue and Netcraft. That is a modest count, but it comes from several unrelated vendors. urlscan.io returned a malicious verdict and specifically flagged the page as a fake shop, which matches our classification. The domain appears in four AlienVault OTX threat pulses and is listed on the PhishDestroy blocklist.
Infrastructure
The domain was registered through Dynadot Inc. on 2026-05-30, about four months before it was detected. That gap suggests the domain was registered well in advance and launched later as a storefront. It is hosted at 31.222.234.210 on the Malakmadze Web LLC network, an operator registered in Georgia, while the IP geolocates to the United States. The Let's Encrypt certificate only means the connection is encrypted. It says nothing about whether the shop is genuine.
What to do
If you paid on arataglow.shop, contact your card issuer or bank right away, report the charge as fraud, and request a chargeback. Keep your order confirmation and any emails as evidence. Watch your statements for unfamiliar charges, and consider replacing the card if you entered its number. Expect follow-up phishing sent to the email address you gave, and do not pay any "shipping" or "customs" fees requested afterward. If you want Arata products, buy them only through the brand's verified official channels. Defenders should block the domain, check for other recently registered .shop domains with similar hair care branding, and report the site to payment processors.
