How the scam works

Fake shops of this kind rely on that impression of a homegrown label to lower buyers' guard. They then push them to checkout with attractive prices. Victims typically pay and receive nothing, or a cheap item unrelated to what was ordered. They also hand over their name, address, phone number and card details, which can be reused for further fraud.

On 2026-10-07, 6 of 92 VirusTotal engines flagged the domain: alphaMountain.ai, CRDF, Forcepoint ThreatSeeker, Gridinsoft, SOCRadar and Webroot.
