animemerchvault.shop is a fake online shop that presents itself as JUMP SHOP, the official store brand for Shonen Jump anime and manga merchandise. Its page title, "ジャンプショップ (JUMP SHOP) | JUMP SHOP", borrows the Japanese storefront name to win the trust of collectors looking for figures, apparel and series goods. PhishDestroy first flagged it on 2026-10-07. The site was still online and serving its shop content when checked on 2026-10-19.
How the scam works
Shops like this copy the look and branding of a well-known retailer, then list popular or sold-out anime items at prices low enough to trigger a quick purchase. At checkout the buyer hands over their name, address, phone number and card details. The order then never arrives, arrives as a cheap counterfeit, or the card is charged again later. Victims lose the purchase amount and risk further fraud using the stolen card and personal data.
Evidence
urlscan.io rated the site malicious and specifically identified it as a fake shop, which is the main independent confirmation of our classification. VirusTotal tells a different story: none of its 92 engines flagged the domain on 2026-10-07, so most browser and antivirus protections will not warn visitors. The domain appears in four AlienVault OTX threat pulses, showing other researchers are tracking it. Among blocklists, only PhishDestroy currently lists it.
Infrastructure
The domain was registered through Dynadot Inc. on 2026-05-29, about four months before we detected it. Disposable scam shops often sit idle or rotate between brands during a gap like this before being pointed at a new storefront. The server sits on a network operated by Malakmadze Web LLC, a provider registered in Georgia, while the IP address geolocates to the United States. Its free Let's Encrypt certificate gives it a browser padlock, which proves nothing about whether the shop is legitimate.
