The word "official" in the domain is there to reassure shoppers looking for genuine fragrances at a discount. PhishDestroy first flagged it on 2026-09-25. As of 2026-10-19 the domain was still live and redirecting visitors.
How the scam works
Fake perfume shops copy a known brand's name and product range, then advertise prices well below retail, often through social media ads or search results. The buyer pays by card, UPI or bank transfer and receives nothing, or receives a cheap counterfeit that is not worth returning. Along the way the checkout collects the buyer's name, phone number, delivery address and payment details, which can be reused for further fraud. The "Ajmal Perfumes India" branding is aimed squarely at Indian shoppers who trust the brand.
Evidence
On 2026-10-07, 9 of 92 VirusTotal engines marked the domain as malicious. Vendors flagging it include BitDefender, ESET, G-Data, Forcepoint ThreatSeeker, alphaMountain.ai, CRDF, Gridinsoft and LevelBlue. urlscan.io returned a malicious verdict and specifically identified the page as a fake shop, which matches our classification. The domain also appears in four AlienVault OTX threat pulses, so other researchers are tracking it too. That detection count is modest, so many browsers and security tools may still let the site load without a warning.
Infrastructure
The domain was registered through Dynadot Inc. on 2026-06-22, about three months before PhishDestroy detected it. That pattern fits a shop that was set up and then promoted once it looked established. It is hosted on the Malakmadze Web LLC network in Georgia, with no apparent link to an Indian perfume retailer. Its Let's Encrypt certificate is free and automatic, so the padlock in the address bar says nothing about whether the shop is legitimate.
What to do
If you paid on this site, contact your bank or card issuer right away to dispute the charge and ask for the card to be replaced. If you paid by UPI or bank transfer, report the transaction to your bank and file a complaint with your national cybercrime reporting service. Expect follow-up scam calls or messages to the phone number and address you entered, and do not pay any "customs" or "delivery" fees. To buy Ajmal products, go to the brand's own channels or authorized retailers. Defenders should block the domain, add it to web filters, and watch for lookalike Ajmal domains registered through the same patterns.
