ajgoods.shop is a fake online store that presents itself as Africanjoyflix, a seller of "Unique and Memorable African Blessings Gifts." It targets people shopping for culturally themed presents, especially buyers drawn in by social media ads or gift searches. PhishDestroy first flagged it on 2026-09-25. As of 2026-10-19 the site was still online and serving its storefront.
How the scam works
Fake gift shops copy the look of a small boutique brand, list attractive items at tempting prices, and push buyers through a checkout that collects card or payment details. The usual result is that the order never ships, a cheap item arrives that looks nothing like the listing, or the payment details are reused for further charges. Here the bait is sentimental, blessing-themed gifts, which buyers often order shortly before a special occasion and seldom question until the delivery date has passed.
Evidence
On 2026-10-03, six of 91 VirusTotal engines flagged the domain: ESET, Forcepoint ThreatSeeker, Gridinsoft, Netcraft, SOCRadar and URLQuery. That count is modest, so many browsers and security products will still load the page without a warning. urlscan.io returned a malicious verdict and specifically identified the page as a fake shop, which matches our classification. The domain also appears in four AlienVault OTX threat pulses and is listed on the PhishDestroy blocklist.
Infrastructure
The domain was registered through Dynadot Inc. on 2026-06-08, about three and a half months before we detected it. That gap is long enough to build out a storefront and start running ads before anyone reports it. The site is hosted on the Malakmadze Web LLC network in Georgia (GE). It uses a free Let's Encrypt certificate, so the browser padlock only means the connection is encrypted. It says nothing about whether the shop is genuine.
What to do
If you ordered from ajgoods.shop, contact your card issuer or payment provider now. Report the purchase as fraud, request a chargeback, and ask for a replacement card if you entered card details. Keep your order confirmation, any emails and your payment records, and watch your statements for unfamiliar charges. If you created an account, change that password anywhere you reused it. Security teams should block the domain and the hosting IP, and add the Africanjoyflix branding to fake-shop detection rules.
