ahikoplus.shop is a fake online shop that presented itself as "Ahika - The Destination for Indian Ethnic Wear for Women". It borrowed the name of a real Indian fashion label and targeted women shopping online for ethnic clothing. PhishDestroy first flagged it on 2026-09-25. The site went offline on 2026-09-30, and as of 2026-10-19 its domain no longer resolves.
How the scam works
Fake fashion storefronts like this copy a recognisable brand's name and look, then advertise heavily discounted clothing, usually through social media ads. A shopper picks items, enters a shipping address and pays by card or another method. Afterwards nothing arrives, or a cheap item unrelated to the order shows up. The victim loses the purchase money and also hands over their name, address, phone number and payment card details, which can be reused for fraud. The look-alike spelling "ahikoplus" is meant to pass a quick glance as an official Ahika outlet.
Evidence
On 2026-10-02, 8 of 91 VirusTotal engines flagged the domain: alphaMountain.ai, CRDF, Forcepoint ThreatSeeker, G-Data, Gridinsoft, LevelBlue, SOCRadar and Webroot. That is a modest count, but it comes from several unrelated vendors. urlscan.io rated the site malicious and specifically tagged it as a fake shop, which matches our classification. The domain appears in 4 AlienVault OTX threat pulses and is listed on the PhishDestroy blocklist.
Infrastructure
The domain was registered through Dynadot Inc. on 2026-05-03, nearly five months before we detected it. That gap fits shops that are set up quietly and only pushed to buyers later. It was hosted on the Malakmadze Web LLC network in Georgia, far from the Indian brand it imitated. The site used a free Let's Encrypt certificate, so its padlock icon showed only that the connection was encrypted, not that the seller was genuine.
What to do
If you paid on this site, contact your bank or card issuer right away. Report the transaction as fraud, request a chargeback and ask for the card to be replaced. Keep any order confirmations, emails and payment receipts as evidence. Be wary of follow-up messages about "delivery fees" or refunds, since the address and phone number you entered may be used for further scams. Defenders and ad platforms should block the domain and look for sibling look-alikes of the Ahika brand on newly registered .shop domains.
