yappeakcappaid.top is an impersonation phishing page that presents itself as the homepage of a crypto project and targets wallet users. PhishDestroy first flagged it on 2026-10-05. As of 2026-10-19 the site was still online and serving its scam content. The page title, "Yappeakcappaid || Homepage", shows only the site's own invented name and no recognizable brand, while we classify the site as impersonation.

How the scam works

Impersonation pages like this copy the look and wording of a real crypto project so visitors believe they have reached an official site. The usual next step is a prompt to connect a wallet, claim a reward or verify an account. That prompt leads to a malicious transaction approval, a request for a seed phrase, or a request for a deposit. urlscan.io tagged the page as a crypto scam, which fits this pattern. Victims typically lose the tokens in the connected wallet, or the whole wallet if they type in a recovery phrase.

Evidence

Seven of 91 VirusTotal engines flagged the domain on 2026-10-06: alphaMountain.ai, BitDefender, ESET, Fortinet, G-Data, Kaspersky and Netcraft. That is a modest count, but it includes several major consumer antivirus vendors, so many users with protection enabled may already see a warning. urlscan.io independently rated the page malicious. Spamhaus lists the domain in its DBL as spam. It is also referenced in two AlienVault OTX threat pulses and is on the PhishDestroy blocklist.

Infrastructure

The domain was registered through NameSilo, LLC on 2026-09-19, sixteen days before PhishDestroy detected it. That short gap is typical of throwaway scam domains set up for a single campaign. It is hosted in the US on the PONYNET network operated by FranTech Solutions. The site uses a free Let's Encrypt certificate, so the padlock in the browser does not mean the site is legitimate.

What to do

If you connected a wallet to this site, revoke any token approvals or permissions it was granted, using a trusted approval-management tool. Then move your remaining funds to a fresh address. If you entered a seed phrase or private key, treat that wallet as compromised and transfer everything to a new wallet created on a clean device. Do not send any further "fees" or deposits the site or its contacts demand. Defenders should block the domain and its hosting IP at DNS and web proxies, and check logs for any users who visited it since 2026-09-19.
