PhishDestroy threat report

Overview

votings-zipcoin.sbs is an impersonation phishing page posing as zipcoin, presented under the title "zipcoin — the currency from Snowmoon, shipped". The "votings" prefix points to a governance or community-vote pretext aimed at zipcoin holders and anyone following the Snowmoon project. PhishDestroy first flagged it on 2026-10-07. As of 2026-10-19 the site was still online and serving its content.

How the scam works

Fake token portals like this copy a project's branding so visitors believe they have reached the official site. A vote, claim or launch event gives them a reason to act quickly, usually by connecting a wallet or entering account details to take part. Whatever the visitor submits goes to the operators. That can be a wallet signature, a token approval or a recovery phrase, and any of these can be used to empty the wallet.

Evidence

Nine of 92 VirusTotal engines flagged the domain as of 2026-10-11, including alphaMountain.ai, CRDF, Ermes, Forcepoint ThreatSeeker, Fortinet, Gridinsoft, LevelBlue and SOCRadar. That is a modest count, but the detections come from vendors with different detection methods. MetaMask and SEAL both list the domain alongside PhishDestroy, so wallet-focused defenders reached the same conclusion. Spamhaus classifies it as DBL_PHISH, and it appears in two AlienVault OTX threat pulses.

Infrastructure

The domain was registered on 2026-10-03 through NICENIC INTERNATIONAL GROUP CO., LIMITED and was caught four days later. A cheap .sbs name put into use almost immediately is typical of short-lived lure sites. Traffic goes through Cloudflare, Inc. (an address geolocated to CA), which hides the real origin server behind the proxy.

What to do

If you connected a wallet to this site, revoke any token approvals granted around that time with a trusted approval-management tool. Move remaining assets to a fresh wallet if you signed anything you did not understand. If you entered a seed phrase, treat that wallet as compromised and transfer funds out immediately. Check zipcoin or Snowmoon announcements only through the project's verified channels, since there is no reason to trust a vote reached through a link. Defenders should block the domain at DNS and proxy level and report it to Cloudflare for takedown.
