Overview

vote-zicoin.xyz is an impersonation phishing page that poses as zipcoin, presenting itself as "zipcoin — the currency from Snowmoon, shipped". The "vote" prefix and the deliberately misspelled "zicoin" are aimed at crypto users who follow the project and expect a community or governance action. PhishDestroy first flagged the domain on 2026-10-07. As of 2026-10-19 the site was still online with its content live.

How the scam works

Impersonation pages like this copy a project's name and look to win the visitor's trust. They then route that trust into an action the visitor would never take on an unknown site. Vote and governance lures usually ask holders to connect a wallet to "cast a vote" or claim a reward. The signature or approval they request can hand an attacker control over tokens. Anyone who treats the page as an official zipcoin portal risks losing whatever the connected wallet holds.

Evidence

Wallet-security blocklists have picked up this domain. MetaMask and SEAL list it alongside PhishDestroy, so many wallet users will see a warning before the page loads. Spamhaus classifies it as DBL_PHISH. On VirusTotal, 7 of 92 engines flagged it as of 2026-10-11: alphaMountain.ai, CRDF, Ermes, Forcepoint ThreatSeeker, Fortinet, Gridinsoft and SOCRadar. That is a minority of engines, but it is consistent with the dedicated crypto blocklists. Two AlienVault OTX threat pulses also reference the domain.

Infrastructure

The domain was registered on 2026-10-02 through NICENIC INTERNATIONAL GROUP CO., LIMITED. It was in PhishDestroy's blocklist just five days later. That short gap is typical of throwaway domains spun up for a single campaign. The site sits behind Cloudflare, with the address geolocated to Canada, which hides the origin server. Its Let's Encrypt certificate means the padlock in the browser proves only encryption, not legitimacy.

What to do

Do not connect a wallet or sign anything on vote-zicoin.xyz. Reach zipcoin only through channels you have verified independently. If you already connected a wallet, revoke every approval and permission granted during the visit using a token-approval checker. Move remaining funds to a fresh wallet if you signed anything you did not fully understand. Never enter a seed phrase on any voting or claim page. Defenders should block the domain at DNS and proxy level and add it to wallet and browser protections. Report the site to Cloudflare and the registrar so the live page can be taken down.
