PhishDestroy threat report
us3zoom.online is a phishing domain that borrows Zoom's name, styling itself as a regional Zoom address to look like a legitimate meeting link. It targets people expecting a Zoom call or invitation, and its listing by MetaMask and SEAL shows it was treated as a threat to crypto users. PhishDestroy first flagged it on 2026-08-17. The site has been offline since 2026-09-10, and as of 2026-10-19 its DNS no longer resolves.
The domain name promises Zoom, but the page itself was titled "ScreenConnect Remote Support Software", which is a remote-access tool rather than a meeting client. In schemes like this, a victim clicks what looks like a Zoom meeting link and is told to download or run a component to join. If that installs remote-access software under the attacker's control, they can see and operate the computer, then harvest browser sessions, saved passwords and wallet extensions or files. The loss is the whole machine and anything reachable from it, not a single password.
On 2026-08-30, five of 91 VirusTotal engines flagged the domain: alphaMountain.ai, Forcepoint ThreatSeeker, Fortinet, Gridinsoft and SOCRadar. That is a modest count, but it comes from independent vendors and matches listings on the PhishDestroy, MetaMask and SEAL blocklists. Four AlienVault OTX pulses also reference the domain, so other researchers tracked it as part of active threat reporting.
The domain was registered on 2026-08-15 through HOSTINGER operations, UAB, only two days before PhishDestroy detected it. That short gap fits a throwaway domain set up for a quick campaign. Traffic ran through Cloudflare, Inc. on an address geolocated to Canada, which hides the real origin server behind the proxy. Its Google Trust Services certificate meant browsers showed a padlock, which says nothing about whether the site is safe.
If you ran anything downloaded from this site, disconnect the computer from the internet and uninstall any ScreenConnect or other remote-access client you did not knowingly set up, then scan the system or reinstall it. From a clean device, change your passwords, starting with email, and reset 2FA. Sign out of all active sessions. If a crypto wallet was installed on the affected machine, treat its seed phrase as exposed and move funds to a new wallet created on a clean device. Defenders should block the domain, alert on unexpected remote-support installs, and remind staff that Zoom never requires third-party remote-access software to join a meeting.
