PhishDestroy threat report
strixplay.com is a phishing site that poses as a legitimate service so visitors trust it with information they would only give the real one. PhishDestroy first saw it on 2026-09-05 and classified it as impersonation. As of 2026-10-19 the domain is still alive, with its content sitting behind a protection layer rather than taken offline.
Impersonation pages copy the look, wording and flow of a real brand, then put a login form, payment step or account prompt in front of the victim. Anything typed in goes straight to the operators. That can mean account credentials that unlock the genuine service, card or payment details, or personal data reused in follow-up fraud. The page currently opens with the title "Just a moment...", which is a browser-check interstitial rather than branded content, while our classification is based on the impersonation behind it.
On 2026-09-18, VirusTotal showed 8 of 89 engines flagging the domain: alphaMountain.ai, Chong Lua Dao, CRDF, Forcepoint ThreatSeeker, Fortinet, Gridinsoft, SOCRadar and Webroot. Eight is a modest count, but these are separate vendors, including web-filtering and phishing-focused feeds, reaching the same verdict. The domain also appears in 7 AlienVault OTX threat pulses, so other researchers have tracked it as well. Among the blocklists covered here, PhishDestroy is the one listing it.
The domain was registered on 2026-05-20 through Fewmoretaps OU d/b/a Trustname.com, about three and a half months before it reached our blocklist. That gap points to a domain that was set aside and later put to use, rather than a throwaway launched the same day. Traffic resolves through Cloudflare, Inc. at 188.114.97.3, with the address geolocated to Canada. This means the real origin server is hidden behind the proxy network and accounts for the challenge page visitors see first.
If you entered a password on strixplay.com, change it right away on the genuine service and on any other account that uses the same password. Then turn on two-factor authentication and sign out other active sessions. If you entered card or banking details, contact your bank to block the card and dispute any charges you do not recognise. Expect targeted follow-up phishing that uses whatever you submitted. Defenders should block the domain at DNS and proxy level, search logs for connections made since 2026-09-05, and report it to Cloudflare and the registrar for takedown.

This report combines saved page captures, registration and network records, scanner results and PhishDestroy reporting history. Each source keeps its own observation date. Open a source report to inspect the original result.
The AI-assisted analysis was written on . It describes the evidence available at that time; later source checks can change.
A capture documents what was shown. A scanner result records that provider’s assessment at the time of its check. Neither a valid certificate nor a zero-detection result is a guarantee of safety.
