PhishDestroy threat report

Overview

stakopro.app is an impersonation phishing site that presents itself under the name STAKO and targets cryptocurrency holders, particularly people looking for staking or yield services. PhishDestroy first detected it on 2026-10-16, only three days after the domain was registered. As of 2026-10-19 the site was still online and serving its phishing content.

How the scam works

Sites like this copy the look and wording of a legitimate crypto platform so visitors believe they are dealing with a real staking service. The page, titled STAKO, typically asks the visitor to connect a wallet, sign a transaction or enter credentials and recovery phrases to deposit or claim rewards. Any signature or approval granted there can let the operators move tokens out of the wallet, and a typed seed phrase gives them full, permanent control of every asset it protects. Promised staking returns never arrive, and deposits sent to the site are lost.

Evidence

urlscan.io rated the page malicious and tagged it as a crypto scam. The domain appears on the PhishDestroy, MetaMask and SEAL blocklists, and it is referenced in 4 AlienVault OTX threat pulses. VirusTotal showed 0 detections out of 92 engines on 2026-10-16, so traditional antivirus scanners had not yet flagged it. This gap is common for freshly registered phishing domains, and it should not be taken as a sign the site is safe.
