PhishDestroy threat report

Overview

stakoex.com is an impersonation phishing page that presents itself as STAKO, a crypto platform, to win the trust of people looking to stake, trade or deposit digital assets. PhishDestroy first flagged it on 2026-10-16, three days after the domain was registered. As of 2026-10-19 the site is still online and serving its scam content.

How the scam works

Sites like this copy the branding and layout of a legitimate-looking crypto service, here under the STAKO name, and promise yields, staking rewards or easy trading. Victims are pushed to create an account, deposit cryptocurrency or connect a wallet, often with dashboards that show fake balances to encourage bigger deposits. Deposits go straight to the operators, and withdrawals are blocked or tied to extra fees. Any credentials, seed phrases or wallet signatures handed over can be used to empty accounts and wallets.

Evidence

urlscan.io rates the page malicious and tags it as a crypto scam. The domain appears on the MetaMask and SEAL blocklists alongside PhishDestroy, and it is referenced in 4 AlienVault OTX threat pulses.
