PhishDestroy threat report

Overview

Despite a name that suggests a Missouri roofing business, roofersoldjamestownmo.com served a page titled "Cloudflare Registrar" that impersonated Cloudflare's domain management service. It targeted people who register or manage domains through Cloudflare. PhishDestroy first saw it on 2026-09-15. The site went offline on 2026-09-16, and its DNS was still inactive when we last checked on 2026-10-19.

How the scam works

Pages like this copy the look of Cloudflare's registrar dashboard and ask the visitor to sign in, often under the pretext of a renewal, transfer or account problem. Whatever is typed into the form goes to the attacker, not to Cloudflare. A stolen Cloudflare account gives control over a victim's domains and DNS. An attacker can then redirect a website or mail, hijack a domain, or point a trusted crypto project's address at a drainer. The loss is not a single password but every site and service that depends on those domains.

Evidence

On 2026-09-17, 14 of 89 VirusTotal engines flagged the domain, including BitDefender, ESET, Fortinet, Forcepoint ThreatSeeker, G-Data, Gridinsoft, alphaMountain.ai and Chong Lua Dao. That level of agreement is solid support for a phishing verdict. The domain also appears in five AlienVault OTX threat pulses, so other researchers tracked it independently. Of the blocklists checked, only PhishDestroy lists it.

Infrastructure

The domain was registered on 2024-08-07, more than two years before PhishDestroy detected the Cloudflare lure. Its roofing-themed name has no connection to Cloudflare. The registrar is Cloudflare, Inc., and the site resolved to Cloudflare's network with a Canadian geolocation. Its Google Trust Services certificate only means the connection was encrypted. It does not show that the page was legitimate.

What to do

If you entered credentials on this page, change your Cloudflare password at once and turn on or reset two-factor authentication. Then sign out all active sessions and revoke any API tokens you cannot account for. Review your domains for unexpected transfers, nameserver changes, new DNS records or altered email routing. Change the password anywhere else you reused it. Defenders should block the domain, search mail and proxy logs for visits since 2026-09-15, and warn staff who manage domains that registrar login prompts should only be trusted when reached directly through Cloudflare's official dashboard.
