PhishDestroy threat report
proposals-ether.asia is an impersonation phishing page that poses as Etherfi and carries the page title "Etherfi". The domain name reads like an official governance or proposals portal, which makes it convincing to Etherfi token holders and restakers. PhishDestroy first flagged it on 2026-10-07. As of 2026-10-19 the site still responds, but the DNS behind its phishing content is inactive.
Fake governance portals rely on a lure that feels routine: a proposal to vote on, a message to sign, or a reward tied to participation. The visitor is asked to connect a wallet and approve what looks like a harmless vote. In this type of scheme, that signature or approval actually grants the operator permission to move tokens, so staked and liquid assets can be drained without any further action from the victim. The Etherfi name and branding lower people's guard right at the moment they sign.
Seventeen of 92 VirusTotal engines flagged the domain on 2026-10-11, among them BitDefender, ESET, Fortinet, Forcepoint ThreatSeeker, G-Data, Emsisoft, CRDF and alphaMountain.ai. Agreement from that many mainstream vendors within days of registration is a strong signal. urlscan.io rated the page malicious and identified Etherfi branding on it. The wallet-focused blocklists of MetaMask, ScamSniffer and SEAL list it alongside PhishDestroy, and four OTX threat pulses reference it.
The domain was registered through Spaceship, Inc. on 2026-10-06, and PhishDestroy caught it the next day. A one-day gap like that points to a site built for a fast, short campaign rather than a lasting service. It sits behind Cloudflare, with the address placed in Canada, so the origin server stays hidden. Its Let's Encrypt certificate gives the page a padlock, which only means the connection is encrypted and says nothing about who runs it.
If you connected a wallet here, use a token-approval checker immediately and revoke any allowances you don't recognize, especially recent ones. Move remaining funds, including Etherfi positions, to a fresh wallet. If you typed in a seed phrase, consider that wallet fully compromised and abandon it. Reach Etherfi governance only through links you have verified yourself. Security teams should block the domain at DNS and proxy level and watch for lookalikes pairing words like proposals or ether with unusual top-level domains.

This report combines saved page captures, registration and network records, scanner results and PhishDestroy reporting history. Each source keeps its own observation date. Open a source report to inspect the original result.

A capture documents what was shown. A scanner result records that provider’s assessment at the time of its check. Neither a valid certificate nor a zero-detection result is a guarantee of safety.
