PhishDestroy threat report

Overview

ledgger-live-en.pages.dev is an impersonation phishing page whose name copies Ledger Live with a doubled "g" and an "-en" suffix, a lookalike aimed at Ledger hardware wallet owners searching for the official app. PhishDestroy first flagged it on 2026-09-08. The site has been offline since 2026-09-17, after Cloudflare blocked the content, and it was still dead when last checked on 2026-10-19.

How the scam works

Fake Ledger Live pages usually claim the user must update, sync or restore their wallet, then ask for the 24-word recovery phrase. Ledger never asks for this phrase. Anyone who types it gives the attacker full control of every account the device secures, and funds can be swept within minutes. The page title now reads "Suspected Phishing | Cloudflare", which is Cloudflare's own warning screen rather than the original lure. That is also why urlscan.io identified only a generic Cloudflare brand rather than Ledger.

Evidence

On 2026-09-18, 13 of 89 VirusTotal engines flagged the domain. They included ESET, Kaspersky, Fortinet, Forcepoint ThreatSeeker, G-Data, Gridinsoft, LevelBlue and alphaMountain.ai, so the detection rests on several established vendors working independently. urlscan.io rated the page malicious. Beyond PhishDestroy, the domain is listed on the MetaMask and SEAL blocklists, both maintained by crypto-security teams.

Infrastructure

The Cloudflare Pages project was created on 2026-07-22, about seven weeks before PhishDestroy detected it. Free pages.dev subdomains let operators publish a convincing brand-styled site in minutes without buying a domain. The site resolved to Cloudflare, Inc. address space geolocated to Canada. Its lifespan after detection was short: it went offline nine days after PhishDestroy first saw it.

What to do

If you entered your recovery phrase on this site, treat the wallet as compromised. Set up your Ledger with a brand-new seed and move any remaining assets to the new addresses immediately. If you connected a software wallet, review and revoke any token approvals you granted there. Download Ledger Live only by typing Ledger's official address yourself, and never type your 24 words into any website or app. Security teams should block the hostname and watch for other pages.dev lookalikes built on Ledger misspellings.
