PhishDestroy threat report

Overview

ledger-live-ai.pages.dev is a phishing page impersonating Ledger. Its name borrows the Ledger Live companion app and adds a trendy "ai" tag to look like an official new tool. It targets owners of Ledger hardware wallets. PhishDestroy first flagged it on 2026-08-31, and it has been offline since 2026-09-11. When last checked on 2026-10-19, the hosting provider had blocked the content.

How the scam works

Fake Ledger Live pages usually claim the user must sync, update or verify their device. They then ask for the 24-word recovery phrase, or push a counterfeit app that asks for it. Anyone holding that phrase can rebuild the wallet elsewhere and empty every account it controls, and hardware protection does nothing to stop it. The current page title reads "Suspected Phishing | Cloudflare", which is the provider's warning notice rather than Ledger-branded content, while PhishDestroy classified the site as Ledger impersonation.

Evidence

On 2026-09-12, 16 of 89 VirusTotal engines flagged the domain, including BitDefender, ESET, Fortinet, Forcepoint ThreatSeeker, G-Data, Emsisoft, alphaMountain.ai and CyRadar. That is a solid cross-vendor consensus for a short-lived subdomain. urlscan.io returned a malicious verdict, and its brand match points to the Cloudflare warning page now served in place of the lure. MetaMask's and SEAL's blocklists list the site alongside PhishDestroy, so wallet users with those protections get warnings.

Infrastructure

The site ran as a free subdomain on Cloudflare Pages. A page like this can be created in minutes with no domain purchase, which suits disposable phishing runs. Traffic resolved to Cloudflare, Inc. network space geolocated to Canada. The roughly eleven days between PhishDestroy's first sighting and the takedown show how quickly the provider acted once reports came in.

What to do

If you typed your recovery phrase into this site or into software it supplied, treat the wallet as compromised. Reset your Ledger, generate a new phrase and move any remaining funds to the new accounts immediately. Ledger never asks for your phrase online. Uninstall anything downloaded from the page, scan the computer, and check for and revoke token approvals if you connected a wallet. Defenders should block the subdomain and watch for other pages.dev hosts using Ledger or Ledger Live naming.
