PhishDestroy threat report

Overview

jimothy-portal.com is an airdrop scam that posed as a community token claim for "Jimothy" on Solana. It targeted Solana wallet users hoping to collect free tokens. PhishDestroy first detected it on 2026-09-05, one day after the domain was registered. The site has been offline since 2026-09-11, and on 2026-10-19 it was still dead with no active DNS.

How the scam works

The page, titled "Jimothy | Community Airdrop Claim · Solana", invited visitors to claim an allocation of community tokens. Fake claim pages like this ask the victim to connect a wallet and sign what looks like a routine claim transaction. That signature actually authorizes transfers or delegates control of tokens, letting the operators empty the wallet. No tokens are ever delivered, and on-chain thefts of this kind are effectively irreversible.

Evidence

Automated scanner coverage was thin. On 2026-09-06 only 2 of 90 VirusTotal engines flagged the domain: alphaMountain.ai and Forcepoint ThreatSeeker. Crypto-focused defenses gave it stronger coverage. MetaMask, ScamSniffer and SEAL all list it alongside PhishDestroy, and it appears in 4 AlienVault OTX threat pulses.

Infrastructure

The domain was registered on 2026-09-04 through HOSTINGER operations, UAB. It was hosted on the Hostinger International Limited network (AS-HOSTINGER) in Cyprus. Its TLS certificate was issued by YE1. The domain went live, was detected and went dark within about a week, a lifespan typical of short-lived claim scams.

What to do

If you connected a wallet to this site, use a token approval manager to review and revoke any permissions you granted. Move remaining funds to a new wallet if you signed anything you did not fully understand. If you entered a seed phrase or private key, treat that wallet as compromised and transfer your assets out immediately. Defenders should keep the domain blocked and watch for similar Jimothy or Solana airdrop claim pages on freshly registered domains.
