invreceiptslinkedin.com is a phishing site impersonating LinkedIn. Its name blends "inv" and "receipts" with the LinkedIn brand, a combination built to look like a billing or invoice notice from the platform. It targets LinkedIn members, especially professionals who handle invoices or premium subscriptions. PhishDestroy first flagged it on 2026-09-05, and it was still online with live content on 2026-10-19.
How the scam works
Billing-themed LinkedIn phishing usually starts with an email or message claiming a receipt, invoice or payment problem. The link leads to a page that bounces the visitor onward and then presents a LinkedIn-style sign-in or payment prompt. Anything typed there goes to the operators, including account credentials and sometimes card details. A hijacked LinkedIn account can then be used to message the victim's contacts and spread the same lure. The page title shows only "Redirecting..." rather than LinkedIn branding, while scanners still identified LinkedIn as the brand being imitated.
Evidence
On 2026-09-18, 16 of 89 VirusTotal engines flagged the domain. They included BitDefender, ESET, Emsisoft, Forcepoint ThreatSeeker, Criminal IP, alphaMountain.ai, CRDF and CyRadar. A mix of established antivirus vendors and threat-intelligence feeds agreeing points to a real phishing site rather than a single misfire. urlscan.io rated the page malicious and independently matched it to LinkedIn. The domain is listed by Phishunt as well as PhishDestroy, and it appears in five AlienVault OTX threat pulses.
Infrastructure
The domain was registered through NameSilo, LLC on 2026-07-16, about seven weeks before PhishDestroy detected it. That gap fits a domain that was set up in advance and then put into use for a campaign. The site resolves to Cloudflare, Inc. address space geolocated to Canada. Because Cloudflare acts as a reverse proxy, the true origin server is hidden behind it.
What to do
If you opened this site from a receipt or invoice message, do not enter anything and close the page. If you already signed in, change your LinkedIn password right away and reuse no part of it elsewhere. Then turn on two-step verification and sign out all other sessions from LinkedIn's security settings. If you entered card details, contact your bank to block the card and dispute any charges. Defenders should block the domain at mail and web gateways, search inboxes for invoice-themed messages pointing to it, and report it to LinkedIn and Cloudflare's abuse channels.
Stored registration data identifies NameSilo as the registrar. PhishDestroy maintains separate registrar investigations; that broader material is contextual and is not an independent detection for this domain.

Availability, content, DNS and registration are independent evidence layers. NXDOMAIN, an unreachable origin or missing content alone does not prove registrar action. A registrar or provider is credited only when a direct technical marker identifies that actor. Report causality is shown separately.
