PhishDestroy threat report
bitcoin-hyper.site was an impersonation phishing page that used the Bitcoin name to win the trust of crypto holders and would-be investors. PhishDestroy first flagged it on 2026-09-05, only four days after the domain was registered. The site went offline on 2026-09-11, and as of 2026-10-19 its DNS no longer resolves.
Pages like this borrow a famous brand, here Bitcoin, and attach an exciting-sounding label such as "hyper" to suggest an official launch, upgrade or exclusive opportunity. The visitor is then pushed toward one of three actions: connecting a wallet and signing a transaction, typing in a recovery phrase, or sending coins to take part. Each one ends with the attacker holding the funds, and transfers on Bitcoin and similar chains cannot be reversed.
On VirusTotal, the domain was flagged by only 1 of 90 engines (alphaMountain.ai) when checked on 2026-09-06. A score that low is common for a domain only days old, and it does not mean the site was safe. Stronger signals came from crypto-specific defenses. MetaMask and SEAL both list the domain alongside PhishDestroy, and it appears in 4 AlienVault OTX threat pulses.
The domain was registered through HOSTINGER operations, UAB on 2026-09-01. It was detected within four days and was dead within ten, a short-lived pattern typical of disposable phishing domains. Traffic ran through Cloudflare, Inc. (172.67.169.50, geolocated to Canada). That address is a shared proxy, which hides the real origin server rather than identifying it.
If you connected a wallet to this site, review and revoke any token approvals or signatures you granted, and move your remaining assets to a fresh wallet. If you entered a seed phrase, treat that wallet as fully compromised and transfer everything out immediately. If you sent funds, write down the transaction IDs and report them to the exchange or service you sent from. Do not trust anyone who offers to recover your money, because these offers are a common follow-up scam. Security teams should block the domain and look for lookalike Bitcoin-branded domains registered around the same period.
