PhishDestroy threat report

Overview

ashleystewartfits.com is an impersonation phishing page dressed up as RC Willey, the US retailer of furniture, electronics, appliances, mattresses and flooring. It targets shoppers looking for deals on big-ticket home goods. The domain name points to a different retail name than the RC Willey storefront it serves. PhishDestroy first saw the site on 2026-10-04, and it was still online with its content live on 2026-10-19.

How the scam works

The page copies RC Willey's own title and catalog categories so that a visitor arriving from an ad, search result or message believes they are in the real store. Fake shops like this typically list popular items at steep discounts to push a quick checkout. The checkout then captures card numbers, billing addresses and contact details. Orders either never ship or are swapped for worthless goods. Victims lose the purchase amount, and their stolen card and personal data can be reused for further fraud.

Evidence

urlscan.io rates the site malicious and specifically flags it as a fake shop. On VirusTotal, 6 of 91 engines flagged it as of 2026-10-06: alphaMountain.ai, CRDF, G-Data, Gridinsoft, Netcraft and SOCRadar. That is a modest count, so many browsers and security tools may not yet warn visitors. The domain also appears in 4 AlienVault OTX threat pulses and on the PhishDestroy blocklist.

Infrastructure

The domain was registered on 2026-08-21 through TuringSign Inc. d/b/a Cosmotown, about six weeks before PhishDestroy detected it. A gap like that fits a store that was built and promoted before anyone reported it. The server is hosted in the US on a network operated by Malakmadze Web LLC, which is registered in Georgia. The site uses a free Let's Encrypt certificate, so the padlock in the address bar says nothing about whether the shop is genuine.

What to do

If you placed an order or entered card details, call your bank right away to block the card and dispute the charge as fraud. After that, watch your statements for unfamiliar transactions. If you created an account with a password you use anywhere else, change it on those services and turn on two-factor authentication. Be wary of follow-up emails or calls about your order, because they are likely more phishing. Security teams should block the domain and its hosting IP and report the impersonation to RC Willey so the company can pursue a takedown.
