PhishDestroy threat report

Overview

ashleystewartglam.com is an impersonation phishing page that presents itself as Visionworks, the US eyewear retailer, under the title "Prescription Glasses, Contacts & Eye Exams | Visionworks." It targets people shopping for glasses, contact lenses or eye appointments. The domain name points to a different retail brand than the one shown on the page, and we classified the site by the Visionworks storefront it serves. PhishDestroy first saw it on 2026-10-04, and it was still online with live content on 2026-10-19.

How the scam works

The site copies the look of a familiar optical retailer so visitors trust it enough to place an order. urlscan.io flagged it as a fake shop. Sites like this typically collect names, shipping addresses, phone numbers and full card details at a counterfeit checkout. Victims lose the payment, receive nothing or a cheap substitute, and the stolen card and personal data can be reused for fraud.

Evidence

On 2026-10-06, 11 of 91 VirusTotal engines flagged the domain. The flagging vendors were alphaMountain.ai, BitDefender, CRDF, CyRadar, G-Data, Gridinsoft, Kaspersky and LevelBlue, a spread of independent detection sources. urlscan.io returned a malicious verdict with the fake-shop flag. The domain appears in 4 AlienVault OTX threat pulses and is listed on the PhishDestroy blocklist. Most engines still pass it, so a clean result from a single scanner does not mean the site is safe.

Infrastructure

The domain was registered on 2026-08-21 through TuringSign Inc. d/b/a Cosmotown, about six weeks before PhishDestroy detected it. That short gap fits a storefront built for a quick campaign, not a long-running business. The site is hosted on the Malakmadze Web LLC network, which is registered in Georgia, while the IP address is located in the United States. Its Let's Encrypt certificate shows the padlock in the browser, but that padlock says nothing about who runs the shop.

What to do

If you ordered from this site, contact your card issuer immediately to dispute the charge, and ask for the card to be cancelled and reissued. Watch your statements for unfamiliar transactions. Treat follow-up emails, texts or calls about "your order" with suspicion. If you created an account there, change that password anywhere you reused it. Defenders should block the domain at DNS and proxy level and report it to Visionworks so the brand can pursue takedown.
