PhishDestroy threat report

Overview

ascensiontiontradenet.online presents itself as a "CopyTrading App", a platform that promises to mirror the trades of successful investors automatically. PhishDestroy classifies it as impersonation phishing aimed at crypto users who want passive trading profits. We first flagged it on 2026-07-27. On 2026-10-19 the server still responded, but DNS for its content was inactive.

How the scam works

Copy-trading lures work by borrowing the look and language of a legitimate trading service. The site shows a polished dashboard and claims you can earn by following expert traders. Victims are asked to register, often giving email, passwords and identity details, and then to fund an account with crypto. Displayed balances can rise, but withdrawals are blocked or tied to new "fees" or "taxes". Victims lose the deposits, any extra payments and the credentials they entered.

Evidence

On 2026-09-14, 12 of 89 VirusTotal engines flagged the domain. The vendors were alphaMountain.ai, BitDefender, ESET, Forcepoint ThreatSeeker, Fortinet, G-Data, Gridinsoft and Lionic. These are independent security companies that reached the same verdict separately. The domain also appears in five AlienVault OTX threat pulses, so other researchers have tracked it too. PhishDestroy's blocklist lists it.

Infrastructure

The domain was registered on 2026-04-09 through Global Domain Group LLC, roughly 109 days before we detected it. That long gap suggests the operators may have kept the domain quiet for a while before using it or promoting it to victims. It is hosted on the YottaSrc network in Germany at 45.13.226.9. Its Let's Encrypt certificate (YR2) is free and automated, so the padlock shows only that the connection is encrypted, not that the operator is legitimate.

What to do

Do not send any more money to this platform, whatever it calls the payment: withdrawal fee, tax or account upgrade. Paying will not release your balance. If you registered, change that password everywhere you reused it and turn on two-factor authentication for your email and exchange accounts. Save transaction IDs and screenshots, report the theft to your local police and to any exchange you used to fund the deposits, and ignore anyone offering to "recover" your funds for a fee. Defenders should block the domain and the address 45.13.226.9, and check mail and proxy logs for copy-trading lures pointing to it.
