How the scam works
The "limited-edition" and "collectors" framing is the hook. Scarce Mattel Creations releases sell out quickly on the official site, so a shop that appears to still have stock, often at a tempting price, pushes buyers to check out before they think twice. Shops like this typically take card or other payment details and then ship nothing, ship a cheap counterfeit, or stop responding. Victims lose the purchase price and expose their payment card and shipping details to the operators.

On VirusTotal, 6 of 91 engines flagged the domain as of 2026-10-01: alphaMountain.ai, CRDF, Gridinsoft, LevelBlue, Netcraft and SOCRadar.
