How the scam works
The bare "Loading" title shows only a placeholder or interstitial screen, which on its own does not reveal what the site offers. Pages like this often hand visitors off to other content, or show a prompt only after the first screen. On a domain flagged as both malicious and spam-linked, that prompt could ask for login details, a wallet connection or a download. Because the exact scheme has not been confirmed, the safest assumption is that anything typed, signed or installed on this site could end up with whoever runs it.
Evidence
On 2026-10-10, seven of 92 VirusTotal engines flagged the domain: alphaMountain.ai, CRDF, Forcepoint ThreatSeeker, Fortinet, Gridinsoft, LevelBlue and SOCRadar. That is a minority of engines, but they are separate vendors reaching the same verdict on a newly registered domain. Spamhaus lists it in its Domain Block List under the spam category, which ties the domain to unsolicited mass messaging. Three AlienVault OTX threat pulses also reference it, showing other researchers have tracked it alongside wider activity.
Infrastructure
The domain was registered on 2026-09-23 through Gname.com Pte. Ltd. and was blocklisted 13 days later, a short lifespan typical of disposable domains built for a single campaign. Its server address sits on a network registered to M/S Robi Traders of Bangladesh, while the IP itself geolocates to Finland. The low-cost .icu extension and a free Let's Encrypt certificate made the site cheap and quick to launch, and the padlock in the browser says nothing about who operates it.
What to do
If you opened epiclocker.icu, close it and do not return through any link that pointed you there, especially one that arrived by spam. If you entered a password, change it everywhere you reuse it and turn on two-factor authentication. If you connected a crypto wallet or signed anything, revoke the approvals granted during that session with a token-approval checker. If you downloaded a file, delete it unopened and run a malware scan. Defenders should block the domain and its IP at DNS and proxy level, and search mail and web logs for users who reached it after 2026-09-23.
