How the scam works
Fake shops like this sell big-ticket items such as tables, wardrobes and bed frames at attractive prices, which makes a long wait for a large order seem normal. The buyer pays at checkout, then the goods never ship, or something cheap and unrelated arrives in their place. Victims lose the purchase price. They also hand over their name, home address, phone number and often card details, all of which can be reused for further fraud. The "Berah Getah" name and the polished Italian copy about durable craftsmanship give the store a credible artisan image.
