acuitiscare.shop is an impersonation phishing page posing as Acuitis France, a French optician and audiology brand. Its page title, "Votre Maison d'Optique et d'Audition | Acuitis France", copies the brand's own wording to reach French-speaking customers looking for glasses, lenses or hearing aids. PhishDestroy first flagged it on 2026-09-09. As of 2026-10-19 the site was still online and serving content.
How the scam works
Brand-impersonation shops like this copy a real retailer's look and language, then attach the name to a lookalike domain, here a .shop address that adds "care" to the Acuitis name. Visitors who believe they are on the official site are pushed to book appointments, order eyewear or hearing products, or create an account. Along the way they hand over names, contact details, health-related information and card payments. Orders are not fulfilled, and the collected card and personal data can be reused for fraud or follow-up scams that cite the fake order.
Evidence
On 2026-09-20, 8 of 89 VirusTotal engines flagged the domain: alphaMountain.ai, BitDefender, ESET, Forcepoint ThreatSeeker, G-Data, Gridinsoft, LevelBlue and SOCRadar. That is a minority of engines, but it includes several mainstream security vendors, so the verdict does not rest on one source. The domain also appears in 3 AlienVault OTX threat pulses and on the PhishDestroy blocklist.
Infrastructure
The domain was registered through Dynadot Inc. on 2026-04-14, about five months before PhishDestroy detected it. That gap fits a domain held in reserve or used quietly before the campaign drew attention. It is hosted on the Malakmadze Web LLC network in the United States, which is an odd home for a site claiming to be a French high-street chain. Its Let's Encrypt certificate gives the browser padlock but proves nothing about who runs the site.
What to do
If you ordered or paid on this site, contact your bank immediately to block the card and dispute the charge, and watch your statements for unfamiliar transactions. If you created an account, change that password everywhere you reused it. Treat any calls, texts or emails that mention an Acuitis order or appointment as suspicious, and contact Acuitis only through its official channels. Defenders should block acuitiscare.shop at DNS and proxy level, watch for other lookalike domains built on the Acuitis name, and report the site to the registrar and hosting provider.
