vww-curve.finance is a lookalike domain that impersonates Curve, the decentralized exchange known for its stablecoin liquidity pools. The "vww-" prefix is built to pass as a mistyped or hurried "www" in front of the brand name, aimed at DeFi users who search for or click links to the real app. PhishDestroy first flagged it on 2026-09-02, and as of 2026-10-19 the site was online and serving content.
How the scam works
Fake DeFi front ends like this copy the familiar pools interface, then ask visitors to connect a wallet and approve or sign transactions that hand control of their tokens to the operator. Once a victim signs, the attacker can move the approved assets out without any further interaction. The page title reads "Rainbow Company | Pools" rather than Curve branding, while the domain itself impersonates Curve, which is the basis of our classification.
Evidence
Seven of 92 VirusTotal engines flagged the domain as of 2026-10-17: alphaMountain.ai, CRDF, CyRadar, Forcepoint ThreatSeeker, Fortinet, Gridinsoft and SOCRadar. That is a modest count, but it is reinforced by crypto-specific blocklists. MetaMask and SEAL both list the domain alongside PhishDestroy, so MetaMask users should see a warning before the page loads. Spamhaus carries it in its DBL as a phishing domain, and four AlienVault OTX threat pulses reference it.
Infrastructure
The domain was registered through Dynadot Inc on 2026-09-01, and PhishDestroy flagged it the next day. A one-day gap like this points to a domain bought specifically for a campaign, not an older site that later went bad. It sits behind Cloudflare's network, with the address geolocated to Canada, so the real origin server is not exposed.
