PhishDestroy threat report
force-drop.run is an impersonation phishing page that presents itself as ForceDrop, a Counter-Strike 2 case-opening service. Its Russian-language title reads "ForceDrop — кейсы CS2, контракты и апгрейды" (CS2 cases, contracts and upgrades), so the lure is aimed at Russian-speaking CS2 players who trade and gamble skins. PhishDestroy first flagged it on 2026-09-25. As of 2026-10-19 the site was still online and serving its content.
Fake case-opening sites copy the look of a known brand and promise cheap cases, skin contracts and upgrades. To "play", the visitor is pushed to sign in through what looks like a Steam login. The victim's credentials go to the operators, or they are tricked into granting account access. With that access, scammers usually empty the inventory through trades or take over the Steam account entirely. Everything the victim does on the site, including any deposits, serves the operators and not a real gaming service.
On 2026-10-06, VirusTotal showed 6 of 91 engines flagging the domain. The vendors were alphaMountain.ai, CRDF, Forcepoint ThreatSeeker, Fortinet, Gridinsoft and SOCRadar. That is a modest count, so many browsers and security tools may still let the page load without a warning. Spamhaus lists the domain in its DBL as spam, and four AlienVault OTX pulses reference it. Together these give independent support beyond PhishDestroy's own listing.
The domain was registered through Dynadot Inc on 2026-06-10, roughly three and a half months before PhishDestroy detected it. That gap suggests it was set up well in advance or ran quietly for a while before drawing attention. The site is hosted on Host Sailor Ltd's network in the Netherlands at 185.117.73.206.
If you signed in with Steam on this site, change your Steam password right away and confirm Steam Guard is active. Then use "Deauthorize all other devices" and revoke any Steam Web API key you did not create yourself. Review your pending and recent trade offers and cancel anything unfamiliar. If items or the account are already gone, contact Steam Support. If you reused the same password elsewhere, change it on those services too. Defenders should block the domain and its hosting IP and warn gaming communities about lookalike ForceDrop sites.

A capture documents what was shown. A scanner result records that provider’s assessment at the time of its check. Neither a valid certificate nor a zero-detection result is a guarantee of safety.
