PhishDestroy threat report

Overview

autocrestcom.website is an impersonation phishing page that presents itself as Auto Crest, and its page title reads exactly that. The domain folds "com" into the name, so a quick glance can read it as the brand's own .com address when it is actually a .website domain. It targets people looking for Auto Crest or doing business with it. PhishDestroy first flagged it on 2026-09-01, and the site was still online with its content served as of 2026-10-19.

How the scam works

Impersonation sites copy a real company's name and look so visitors trust them like the original. Once a visitor believes they are dealing with Auto Crest, the page can ask for contact details, account logins, identity documents or payment, often framed as a deposit, booking or order. Whatever is entered goes straight to the operators. Victims can lose money sent for goods or services that never arrive, along with personal and payment data that can be reused for further fraud.

Evidence

Twelve of 89 VirusTotal engines flagged the domain on 2026-09-11, including Kaspersky, Fortinet, Netcraft, G-Data, Gridinsoft, CRDF, alphaMountain.ai and Hunt.io Intelligence. Those are vendors that reached the same verdict on their own. Spamhaus lists the domain in its DBL as a spam source, and it appears in four AlienVault OTX threat pulses, so other researchers are tracking it too. PhishDestroy carries it on its own blocklist.

Infrastructure

The domain was registered through NameSilo, LLC on 2025-11-26, roughly nine months before PhishDestroy detected it. That long gap suggests the name was registered well in advance rather than spun up for a single burst. The site is hosted on the NEW DHAKA HARDWARE network in the United States. It uses a free Let's Encrypt certificate, so the padlock in the browser only means the connection is encrypted and says nothing about who runs the site.

What to do

Do not enter details or pay anything on this site, and reach Auto Crest only through contact channels you have verified independently. If you paid by card or bank transfer, contact your bank immediately to dispute the charge and ask about blocking further payments. If you entered a password, change it everywhere you reused it and turn on two-factor authentication. If you shared identity documents, watch for fraud attempts made in your name. Defenders should block the domain at DNS and web gateways and look through mail and proxy logs for users who visited it.

Choose the steps that match what you shared. Keep a copy of this report alongside your own records.

Que dois-je faire tout de suite ?

Urgent

Stop using the suspicious site. Open the real service through its official app or an address you already trust.

Keep original emails, receipts, messages and screenshots in a secure place. A factual timeline helps the receiving authority understand what happened. IC3 evidence guidance ↗

  • Payment records — if you paid, save the receipt, amount, date, payment provider and recipient details.

  • Your bank or payment provider — contact its fraud team promptly through official contact details if money or card information was exposed.

A report is not a guarantee of recovery or investigation, but prompt, accurate transaction data can help authorities and service providers trace the incident.

How do phishing scams typically work?

  • Arnaques liées au recouvrement — fraudsters pose as recovery agents and demand upfront fees. Never share a seed phrase or pay before independently verifying the provider

Comment puis-je me protéger à l'avenir ?

About this reportSources, observation dates and corrections

This report combines saved page captures, registration and network records, scanner results and PhishDestroy reporting history. Each source keeps its own observation date. Open a source report to inspect the original result.

The AI-assisted analysis was written on . It describes the evidence available at that time; later source checks can change.

A capture documents what was shown. A scanner result records that provider’s assessment at the time of its check. Neither a valid certificate nor a zero-detection result is a guarantee of safety.
