How the scam works
The page presents itself as "oopbuy spreadsheet | US Shopping Planning Guide". This mimics the community spreadsheets that shoppers use to find items to order through OopBuy. Lookalike sites in this niche usually funnel visitors toward fake login or checkout pages, or toward agent links the operators control. There, account credentials, payment card details or the money itself are taken. The slightly altered domain name, with an extra "se" and a cheap .pics extension, is meant to pass as an official or trusted OopBuy resource at a glance.
Evidence
Independent detection is currently thin. VirusTotal returned 0 detections out of 92 engines when the domain was checked on 2026-10-16. PhishDestroy is so far the only blocklist listing the domain. It also appears in 4 AlienVault OTX threat pulses. The classification rests on the brand impersonation in the domain name and page title, so a clean VirusTotal result should not be read as a sign that the site is safe.
Infrastructure
The domain was registered on 2026-10-16 through Spaceship, Inc. It resolves to 52.37.165.222 on the AMAZON-02 network operated by Amazon.com, Inc., in the US. Its TLS certificate was issued by Let's Encrypt (YE2), so the padlock in the browser only means the connection is encrypted. It says nothing about who runs the site.
What to do
If you visited oopbuyse.pics and entered an OopBuy or email login, change that password right away, along with any other account that uses the same one, and turn on two-factor authentication. If you entered card details or paid anything, contact your bank or card issuer to dispute the charge and request a replacement card. Report the site to OopBuy through its official app or website, never through links on the suspicious page. Defenders should block the domain at DNS, proxy and email gateways.
