bybgrupoconsultor.com hosts a fake login page titled "HiNet 網頁郵件服務" (HiNet Webmail Service). HiNet is the internet service run by Chunghwa Telecom, so the page targets Taiwanese users who check their email through that portal. The domain name sounds like a Spanish-language consulting firm and has no connection to HiNet. PhishDestroy first flagged it on 2026-09-27, and it was still online and serving content when we last checked on 2026-10-19.
How the scam works
Victims usually arrive from an email that looks like a HiNet notice, such as a full mailbox, a password expiry or a pending security check. The link opens a copy of the HiNet webmail sign-in screen. Any email address and password typed into it go to the operators, not to HiNet. A working mailbox lets them read private mail, reset passwords on linked accounts and send new phishing from a trusted address.
Evidence
On 2026-10-03, 6 of 91 VirusTotal engines flagged the domain: alphaMountain.ai, Forcepoint ThreatSeeker, MalwareURL, SOCRadar, URLQuery and VIPRE. That count is modest, so many browsers and mail filters may still let the page load without a warning. Among public blocklists, PhishDestroy currently lists it.
Infrastructure
The domain was registered on 2020-09-24 through 1API GmbH, six years before it appeared as a HiNet lure. An older domain like this can slip past filters that are suspicious of newly registered names. The site runs on 167.250.5.50 in the NUT HOST SRL network (AS264649) in Argentina, far from the Taiwanese audience it targets. Its free Let's Encrypt certificate puts a padlock in the address bar, but the padlock only means the connection is encrypted and says nothing about whether the site is genuine.
What to do
If you entered your HiNet email and password on this page, change the password right away through the official HiNet site. Do the same on every other account that uses the same password. Turn on two-factor authentication wherever it is offered, and check your mailbox for forwarding rules, filters or recovery details you did not set up.
