PhishDestroy threat report

Overview

trezor-uk.at poses as a Trezor site under an Austrian domain with a misleading "uk" label, aimed at owners of Trezor hardware wallets. PhishDestroy first flagged it on 2026-10-11. As of 2026-10-19 the site was still online, with its content sitting behind a Cloudflare protection layer. The page currently shows the title "Attention Required! | Cloudflare", a Cloudflare challenge screen, while our classification is Trezor impersonation phishing.

How the scam works

Fake Trezor sites usually claim the visitor's device needs a firmware update, a security check or wallet recovery. They then ask for the 12- or 24-word recovery seed, or they offer a tampered copy of the Trezor Suite app. A hardware wallet only protects funds while the seed stays offline. Anyone who types those words into a website gives the attacker full control of every account derived from it. The theft happens on the attacker's own device and needs no further approval from the victim, so the funds are usually swept within minutes.

Evidence

Six of 92 VirusTotal engines flagged the domain on 2026-10-12: alphaMountain.ai, CRDF, Forcepoint ThreatSeeker, Fortinet, Gridinsoft and SOCRadar. That count is modest, so many security products may still let the site through. Spamhaus lists the domain in its DBL under the phishing category, and the MetaMask and SEAL blocklists carry it alongside PhishDestroy. Four AlienVault OTX threat pulses also reference it, so other researchers have tracked the same activity.

Infrastructure

The domain resolves to Cloudflare, Inc. address space registered in Canada. That address belongs to Cloudflare's reverse proxy and does not reveal where the real server runs. The interstitial challenge page shown to visitors comes from the same Cloudflare front end.

What to do

If you entered your recovery seed on this site, treat that wallet as compromised. Set up a new Trezor seed on a reset or replacement device and move any remaining funds to the new addresses right away. If you downloaded software from the page, uninstall it and get Trezor Suite only through Trezor's official channels. Remember that Trezor never asks for your seed online. Security teams should block the domain at DNS and proxy level, add it to mail and web filters, and warn staff and customers who hold Trezor devices.

Questions about trezor-uk.at

Is trezor-uk.at legit?

No. PhishDestroy classifies trezor-uk.at as a Trezor impersonation page (risk: critical, 95/100); it was first detected on 2026-10-11. VirusTotal: 6/92 engines flag it. Listed on Spamhaus DBL. Treat the site as unsafe.

Is trezor-uk.at safe to connect a wallet?

No. Do not connect a wallet, sign messages or approve tokens on trezor-uk.at. Phishing sites ask for approvals (approve, setApprovalForAll, Permit2) that let the operator move your assets, and a confirmed transaction cannot be reversed.

What should I do if I used trezor-uk.at?

Change every password you entered there and turn on two-factor authentication. If you connected a wallet or signed something, revoke the approvals and move the remaining funds to a new wallet; never share your seed phrase. Step-by-step help: emergency guide.

Recommendations & Advice for Victims

Choose the steps that match what you shared. Keep a copy of this report alongside your own records.

What should I do immediately?

Urgent

Stop using the suspicious site. Open the real service through its official app or an address you already trust.

  • Change all passwords — email, exchange accounts, anything that shares the same password
  • Enable 2FA using an authenticator app (not SMS). Disable SMS-based recovery
  • Freeze cards if you entered banking details on the phishing site

What information should I collect for my report?

FBI guidelines

Keep original emails, receipts, messages and screenshots in a secure place. A factual timeline helps the receiving authority understand what happened. IC3 evidence guidance ↗

  • Payment records — if you paid, save the receipt, amount, date, payment provider and recipient details.
  • Exact dates & times — of each transaction and first contact with scammer
  • Screenshots — scam website, chat messages, emails, wallet transactions, social media
  • All URLs & domains used by the scammer (including trezor-uk.at)
  • Communications — emails, texts, phone numbers, usernames the scammer used

Even if you don't have all details — file a report anyway. Partial information still helps investigations.

Where should I report the scam?

  • FBI IC3 — Internet Crime Complaint Center (US federal reporting)
  • Europol — European cybercrime reporting (EU)
  • Your bank or payment provider — contact its fraud team promptly through official contact details if money or card information was exposed.
  • Local police — creates an official record, even if they can't act immediately

A report is not a guarantee of recovery or investigation, but prompt, accurate transaction data can help authorities and service providers trace the incident.

How do phishing scams typically work?

  • Fake websites — pixel-perfect clones of legitimate sites with slightly altered domains
  • Pig butchering — trust built over weeks via Telegram/WhatsApp/dating apps, then money stolen
  • Recovery scams — fraudsters pose as recovery agents and demand upfront fees. Never share a seed phrase or pay before independently verifying the provider
  • AI-powered scams — deepfakes, automated phishing, and AI-generated sites making fraud harder to detect

How can I protect myself in the future?

  • Bookmark official sites — never click links from emails, DMs, or ads
  • Verify domains — check on PhishDestroy before interacting. Check HTTPS, spelling, domain age
  • "Too good to be true" = scam — guaranteed returns, celebrity endorsements, urgent deadlines
