PhishDestroy threat report
rainbet-online.casino is a fraudulent online casino that presented itself as "Rainbet Casino Canada", a crypto-and-fiat gambling site aimed at Canadian players. It borrows the Rainbet name on a lookalike domain instead of operating under the brand's own address. PhishDestroy first saw it on 2026-09-02. The site has been offline since 2026-09-30, and its DNS was still inactive when we rechecked on 2026-10-19.
Fake casinos of this kind mimic a known brand so a player believes they are signing up with an established operator. Victims register, fund the account with cryptocurrency or a card, and watch a balance grow, which encourages larger deposits. When they try to cash out, the site invents obstacles such as verification checks, minimum turnover rules or extra "fees" that must be paid first, and the money never comes back. Crypto deposits are especially attractive to these operators because transfers cannot be reversed.
Seven of 89 VirusTotal engines flagged the domain as of 2026-09-11: ChainPatrol, alphaMountain.ai, CRDF, Fortinet, Gridinsoft, SOCRadar and VIPRE. That is a modest share, but it includes crypto-focused and commercial web-filtering vendors that reached the same verdict independently. The domain is also listed by MetaMask and SEAL alongside PhishDestroy, so wallet users were warned before they connected. It appears in two AlienVault OTX threat pulses.
The domain was registered through Dynadot Inc on 2026-09-01, and PhishDestroy flagged it the next day. A brand-new domain carrying a famous casino name is a typical pattern for short-lived fraud sites. Traffic ran through Cloudflare, so the Canadian network location reflects the proxy rather than the operator's real server. The site lasted under a month before going dark on 2026-09-30.
If you deposited money, stop sending funds, and do not pay any "withdrawal", tax or verification fee to unlock your balance. Contact your bank or card issuer to dispute card payments. If you paid in crypto, report the transfer to the exchange you sent it from. If you uploaded ID documents or reused a password, change that password elsewhere and watch for identity misuse. Be wary of anyone who later offers to "recover" your funds for a fee, because that is a common follow-up scam. Defenders should block the domain and check logs for earlier visits.
