Overview

PhishDestroy’s intake AI classified ons-okx.com.cn as malicious because it pretends to be the OKX exchange and advertises an “OKX App Download”. The recorded page title is “欧易 OKX App 下载 - 欧易安卓安装包 | 三步完成安装”, which claims to provide an official Android installer. PhishDestroy first observed the domain on 2026-10-23, when the site returned an HTTP 200 response. The internal assessment cited brand impersonation and potential credential theft as the risk signals.

How the scam works

In brand‑impersonation phishing, attackers create a page that mimics a legitimate service and lure victims to download a counterfeit application or submit login credentials. The fake app can contain malware that harvests credentials, private keys or other sensitive data. Credential‑phishing forms may capture usernames and passwords for later use against the real service. Victims who install the malicious APK risk further compromise of their device and accounts.
