PhishDestroy threat report
flarefoundation.icu was a phishing site posing as Flare Network. It borrowed the project's real tagline, "Flare: The blockchain for data", as its page title, and its domain name suggests an official foundation. It targeted Flare token holders and anyone looking for the project's official pages. PhishDestroy first saw it on 2026-09-27, the same day it went offline. On 2026-10-19 the domain no longer resolved in DNS.
Using Flare's own slogan makes a visitor arriving from a search ad, social post or direct message feel they have reached the genuine project. Pages that impersonate a blockchain project usually push a call to action, such as claiming rewards, delegating or migrating tokens, or fixing a wallet issue. That step leads to connecting a wallet and signing a transaction, or typing in a recovery phrase. A malicious signature can hand over token allowances, and a recovery phrase gives the operator full control of the wallet. Either way the victim loses the crypto assets held in that wallet.
urlscan.io rated the page malicious and recognised Flare Network branding on it. When VirusTotal checked it on 2026-09-27, only 4 of 91 engines flagged it: ESET, Forcepoint ThreatSeeker, Kaspersky and SOCRadar. That low count is normal for a site caught within days of going live. MetaMask and SEAL also list the domain alongside PhishDestroy, which means wallet users get warnings from more than one source. It appears in 4 AlienVault OTX threat pulses.
The domain was registered through Eranet International Limited on 2026-09-24, just three days before PhishDestroy detected it. That short gap fits a disposable domain built for a brief campaign. The site sat behind Cloudflare, Inc. at 188.114.97.3 (geolocated to Canada), so the address belongs to Cloudflare's proxy network and does not reveal the real origin server.
If you entered a recovery phrase on this site, treat that wallet as compromised. Create a new wallet with a fresh phrase and move any remaining funds right away. If you connected a wallet or signed anything, review the token approvals granted from that address in a revocation tool and revoke any you do not recognise. Get Flare news and links only from the project's verified channels. Defenders should block the domain and watch for new lookalikes that combine Flare or foundation wording with cheap top-level domains.

No. PhishDestroy classifies flarefoundation.icu as a Flarenetwork impersonation page (risk: critical, 100/100); it was first detected on 2026-09-27. VirusTotal: 4/91 engines flag it. Treat the site as unsafe.
No. Do not connect a wallet, sign messages or approve tokens on flarefoundation.icu. Phishing sites ask for approvals (approve, setApprovalForAll, Permit2) that let the operator move your assets, and a confirmed transaction cannot be reversed.
Change every password you entered there and turn on two-factor authentication. If you connected a wallet or signed something, revoke the approvals and move the remaining funds to a new wallet; never share your seed phrase. Step-by-step help: emergency guide.
