PhishDestroy threat report
au-rainbet.online presented itself as "Rainbet Australia | Best Crypto Casino & Sports Betting 2026". It borrowed the Rainbet name and added a country prefix to look like a local edition of the brand for Australian bettors. PhishDestroy classifies it as a fraudulent gambling site and first detected it on 2026-08-15. The site has been offline since 2026-09-11, and its DNS was still inactive at the last check on 2026-10-19.
Lookalike casino domains like this one use a familiar brand name and a polished betting lobby to convince players they are on the official, regional version of the site. The victim is asked to fund an account with cryptocurrency. Deposits sent to an operator who has no connection to the real brand are effectively lost. Withdrawals tend to stall behind invented verification steps, rollover requirements or extra fees, so balances shown on screen never become real money. Because crypto transfers cannot be reversed, players usually have no way to recover what they deposited.
14 of 91 VirusTotal engines flagged the domain as of 2026-08-29. The flagging vendors include ChainPatrol, alphaMountain.ai, BitDefender, CRDF, Forcepoint ThreatSeeker, G-Data, Gridinsoft and Kaspersky. Crypto-focused blocklists also list it: MetaMask and SEAL carry it alongside PhishDestroy, so wallet users relying on those protections would have been warned. Four AlienVault OTX threat pulses reference the domain, which shows other researchers tracked it independently.
The domain was registered through Regery.com (DevExpanse Ltd) on 2026-06-11, about two months before PhishDestroy caught it. It was live for less than a month after detection before going dark. Traffic ran through Cloudflare's network in Canada, which hides the real origin server behind a shared proxy address. The site used a standard automated certificate from Google Trust Services, so the browser padlock said nothing about whether it was legitimate.
If you deposited crypto on au-rainbet.online, stop sending funds and ignore any request to pay a fee or tax to unlock a withdrawal, because those payments only deepen the loss. Write down your transaction hashes, the deposit addresses you were shown and any chat or email exchanges, then report them to your exchange and to Australian authorities such as Scamwatch or ReportCyber. If you reused a password there, change it everywhere you used it and turn on two-factor authentication. Be wary of follow-up contacts offering fund recovery, since these are a common second-stage scam. Defenders should block the domain and look out for similar Rainbet lookalikes with country prefixes, which tend to reappear under new names.

No. Do not connect a wallet, sign messages or approve tokens on au-rainbet.online. Phishing sites ask for approvals (approve, setApprovalForAll, Permit2) that let the operator move your assets, and a confirmed transaction cannot be reversed.
Change every password you entered there and turn on two-factor authentication. If you connected a wallet or signed something, revoke the approvals and move the remaining funds to a new wallet; never share your seed phrase. Step-by-step help: emergency guide.
