How the scam works
The page title advertises a free game-download portal rather than a Steam login screen, while we classify the site as Steam impersonation phishing. Schemes like this use the promise of free, pre-installed games to win a visitor's trust. They then route the visitor to a Steam-branded sign-in prompt or to a download, and a Steam login entered there goes straight to the operators. A hijacked account gives them its game library, inventory items and wallet balance, as well as any payment methods saved to it. Downloaded "game" files from such sites can also carry malware that steals saved logins.

On 2026-10-19, VirusTotal showed 7 of 92 engines flagging the domain: alphaMountain.ai, Forcepoint ThreatSeeker, Fortinet, Gridinsoft, SOCRadar, Sophos and VIPRE. What to do
