PhishDestroy threat report

Overview

privateaimfortnite.sbs is an impersonation phishing page that uses the Fortnite name to target players looking for an aim cheat or aimbot. PhishDestroy first detected it on 2026-09-29. On 2026-10-19 the site still responded, but its content DNS was inactive, so it may be dormant and could be reactivated. The page itself carries the title 'Rifted' and does not name Fortnite, while we classify the site as Fortnite impersonation.

How the scam works

The domain name targets players searching for a private aim tool, an audience that is used to signing in, sharing account details or running unofficial software to get an edge. Scams of this type typically present a cheat or unlock offer, then ask the visitor to log in with Epic Games or Fortnite credentials, or to hand over other personal details, to 'activate' it. Victims can lose their game account along with any purchased skins, V-Bucks and linked payment methods. Cheat lures also commonly push a downloadable file, which can carry malware.

Evidence

On 2026-10-01, 7 of 91 VirusTotal engines flagged the domain: alphaMountain.ai, Bfore.Ai PreCrime, CRDF, Forcepoint ThreatSeeker, Fortinet, Gridinsoft and Webroot. That is modest coverage, but these vendors span several independent detection approaches. Spamhaus lists the domain in its DBL as spam, and four AlienVault OTX pulses reference it. PhishDestroy is the only blocklist in our tracking that carries it.

Infrastructure

The domain was registered on 2026-09-09 through Global Domain Group LLC, just 20 days before we detected it. That short gap fits a disposable domain set up for a quick campaign. The cheap .sbs extension points the same way. The site is hosted on the M/S ROBI TRADERS network in Turkey and uses a free Let's Encrypt certificate, so a padlock icon in the browser says nothing about whether the site is legitimate.

What to do

If you entered Epic Games or Fortnite login details here, change that password right away, along with any reused passwords, and turn on two-factor authentication. Then review signed-in devices, linked consoles and saved payment methods for anything you don't recognise. If you downloaded or ran a file from the site, disconnect the device and run a full malware scan before logging into anything else. Defenders should block the domain at DNS and proxy level and watch for similar cheat-themed lookalikes that target gaming communities.
