PhishDestroy threat report
meteora.surf is a phishing domain built around the Meteora name and aimed at crypto users who trade or provide liquidity through that protocol. PhishDestroy first flagged it on 2026-10-07, one day after the domain was registered. As of 2026-10-19 the site was still online and redirecting visitors elsewhere. Anyone arriving from a search ad, social post or direct message should treat it as hostile.
Impersonation sites of this kind copy the look of a familiar DeFi interface and push visitors to connect a wallet to claim rewards, manage positions or fix a supposed issue. The connection is followed by a request to sign a transaction or token approval that hands control of assets to the operator. Some variants ask for a seed phrase instead. Either way, the victim can lose the wallet's contents within minutes. The page title reads "PAR" rather than anything Meteora-related, while our classification is Meteora impersonation phishing.
Eight of 92 VirusTotal engines flagged the domain as of 2026-10-11: alphaMountain.ai, CRDF, Forcepoint ThreatSeeker, Fortinet, Gridinsoft, Kaspersky, SOCRadar and VIPRE. That is a modest count, but the vendors are independent of one another. Wallet-focused blocklists agree: MetaMask and SEAL both list it alongside PhishDestroy, so many wallet users will see a warning before they connect. Spamhaus carries it in its domain blocklist under the spam category, and four AlienVault OTX threat pulses reference it.
The domain was registered through Spaceship, Inc. on 2026-10-06 and was already serving phishing content the next day. That short gap points to a throwaway domain set up for a quick campaign. It resolves to an IP address on Amazon.com, Inc. network space in the United States. The site has a free Let's Encrypt certificate, so the padlock in the browser says nothing about whether it is legitimate.
If you connected a wallet to meteora.surf, use a token-approval checker to revoke any permissions you granted during the visit. Move remaining funds to a fresh wallet if you signed anything you did not understand. If you typed your seed phrase into the site, consider that wallet fully compromised and transfer assets out immediately. Only reach Meteora through bookmarks you saved yourself. Defenders should block the domain at DNS and proxy level, and add the hosting IP to watchlists for sibling domains.
