PhishDestroy threat report

Overview

etulkk.top is an impersonation phishing site that PhishDestroy first flagged on 2026-09-16. Its page title reads "Etulkk - URL Shortener", which describes an ordinary link-shortening tool, while our classification is impersonation phishing. The site is still online with its content served as of 2026-10-19, so links pointing to it remain dangerous.

How the scam works

A page posing as a URL shortener fits naturally into links shared in chats, social posts and email, where people expect a short hop to somewhere else. Impersonation pages of this type mimic a service the visitor already trusts and then ask for something that service would never need. That can be a login, a recovery phrase or payment details, presented as a routine step. Whatever is typed in goes straight to the operators, who use it to take over accounts or funds.

Evidence

On 2026-09-19, five of 89 VirusTotal engines flagged the domain: alphaMountain.ai, CRDF, Fortinet, Gridinsoft and SOCRadar. That is a minority verdict, but these vendors agreeing independently is a meaningful signal for a domain this young. Spamhaus lists it in its Domain Block List as spam, and four AlienVault OTX threat pulses reference it. PhishDestroy carries it on our blocklist.

Infrastructure

The domain was registered on 2026-07-18 through Global Domain Group LLC, about two months before we caught it. It resolves to 163.61.188.5 on the NEW DHAKA HARDWARE network in the US. A cheap .top name with a nonsense label, set up weeks before use, is a common pattern for disposable phishing domains. Its Let's Encrypt certificate gives the site a padlock, which only means the connection is encrypted and says nothing about whether the site can be trusted.

What to do

Do not open etulkk.top links or enter anything on pages they lead to. If you typed a password there, change it on the real service and on any account that reuses it, then turn on app-based two-factor authentication and review recent sign-ins. If you entered card details, contact your bank to block the card. Anyone who shared a seed phrase should treat that wallet as compromised and move funds to a new one immediately. Defenders should block the domain and its IP at DNS and proxy level, and search mail and chat logs for messages linking to it.
