The buyer pays at checkout and then receives nothing, a cheap item unlike the listing, or endless shipping excuses until the window for a dispute has passed. Victims lose the money they paid. They also hand over their name, address, email, phone number and often card details, which can be reused for fraud or follow-up scams.
