PhishDestroy threat report

Overview

robuxrewarded.zexori.xyz is a gaming-themed scam built around one promise, spelled out in its page title: "Get Robux." It targets Roblox players, a young audience that is easily tempted by free in-game currency. PhishDestroy first flagged it on 2026-09-11. The site went offline the next day, 2026-09-12, and its DNS was still inactive when we last checked on 2026-10-19.

How the scam works

Free Robux sites do not give out Robux, because only Roblox can issue the currency. They typically ask for a Roblox username and sometimes the password, then send the visitor through "human verification" steps. Those steps can include surveys, app installs, browser notification prompts or small payments, and each one earns the operator money or harvests more personal data. A victim can lose their Roblox account, any Robux and items already on it, and personal details entered along the way. Parents may also see card charges from "verification" purchases.

Evidence

Eleven of 89 VirusTotal engines flagged the site on 2026-09-11, the same day PhishDestroy detected it. The named vendors include alphaMountain.ai, CRDF, Emsisoft, Forcepoint ThreatSeeker, Fortinet, Gridinsoft, LevelBlue and Netcraft. That is a modest share of engines. Even so, flags from that many independent vendors within hours of first sighting support the scam classification. The domain is listed on the PhishDestroy blocklist.

Infrastructure

The page sat on a subdomain of zexori.xyz, which was registered through Spaceship, Inc. on 2026-05-11. That is four months before the scam surfaced, so the domain was likely kept in reserve before use. The server address belongs to Google LLC's network and geolocates to Poland, and the certificate came from Google Trust Services. The site was taken offline about a day after detection, a pattern typical of short-lived throwaway lures.

What to do

If you entered your Roblox password on this site, change it immediately and turn on 2-Step Verification in your Roblox settings. Change the password anywhere else you reused it. Check your Roblox account for unfamiliar trades, purchases or logged-in sessions. Uninstall any apps or browser extensions installed as part of a "verification" step, and block notification permissions you granted. If a card was charged, contact the card issuer, and talk with children about why free Robux offers are always fake. Security teams should block zexori.xyz along with its subdomains and watch for new Robux-themed hostnames under the same parent domain.
