PhishDestroy threat report
meets-webs.online posed as Google Meet, presenting a page titled "Google Meet" to people who expected to join a video call. Lookalike meeting pages like this are typically sent to targets as a call invitation, and crypto wallet providers have blocked this one, which marks it as a threat to crypto users in particular. PhishDestroy first flagged the domain on 2026-09-05. It has been offline since 2026-09-11, and its DNS was still inactive at the last check on 2026-10-19.
A fake Meet page borrows the trust people place in a routine meeting link. The victim arrives expecting a call and is shown a familiar Google interface that blocks entry until they act. Depending on the kit, that might mean signing in with a Google account, fixing a made-up audio or camera problem, or installing a fake update. Anyone who complies can lose their Google account, the email and recovery access tied to it, and any wallets or exchange logins reachable from that account or device.
urlscan.io rated the page malicious and recognized Google branding on it, which matches the impersonation. On 2026-09-06 only 2 of 90 VirusTotal engines flagged the domain, alphaMountain.ai and Forcepoint ThreatSeeker, so many security tools would have let it through during its short life. Crypto-focused defenses did catch it. MetaMask and SEAL both list the domain alongside PhishDestroy, and it appears in 4 AlienVault OTX threat pulses.
The domain was registered on 2026-09-04 and was already serving its fake Meet page a day later. That timing points to a domain bought for this campaign, not an older site that was compromised. Registration went through HOSTINGER operations, UAB, and the site was hosted on Hostinger International's network with an IP located in the United States. The whole operation was live for about a week before going offline on 2026-09-11.
If you signed in on this page, change your Google password right away, sign out all other sessions, and review your 2FA methods, recovery email and phone for anything you didn't add. If you downloaded or ran anything it offered, treat the device as compromised: scan it, and move any wallet funds to a new wallet created on a clean machine. Be wary of meeting links that arrive from strangers or new contacts, and join calls only through the Meet app or links you have verified. Defenders should block the domain and look for invitation-style messages that pointed users to it.

RAA §3.18 establishes abuse-contact and handling requirements. This report can document stored outbound notices and later technical observations; it does not by itself establish receipt, investigation, remediation, or contractual non-compliance.

Saved certificate metadata. Certificate dates without a timezone are shown as stored. Transport encryption does not establish that the site is trustworthy.
An estimated time describes an observation window. It does not prove a registrar action or the exact moment a site became unavailable.
Dated changes retained by the monitor and source collectors. Newest observations appear first; source states are not proof of a takedown.
