PhishDestroy threat report

Overview

PhishDestroy’s intake system classified getpikashow.app as malicious because VirusTotal reported one malicious detection for the domain. The recorded page title and excerpt show the site offers a "Pikashow APK" download, a pirated streaming application. The domain was first seen by PhishDestroy on 2026-10-21 and returned an HTTP 200 response at that time.

How the scam works

Sites that distribute unofficial APK files often bundle hidden malware, adware or unwanted extensions that execute when the user installs the package. By presenting a counterfeit version of the Pikashow streaming app, attackers aim to compromise Android or Smart TV devices that install the file.

Evidence

VirusTotal scanned the domain on 2026-10-21 and flagged it as malicious with one detection from Fortinet out of 92 engines. Google Safe Browsing checked the same day and did not flag the site. urlscan captured the page on 2026-10-21, gave an overall clean verdict but its machine‑learning engine assigned a malicious score of 96. OTX listed four pulses referencing the domain as of 2026-10-21, and no external blocklists reported it as malicious on that date. PhishDestroy’s internal blocklist includes the domain as of 2026-10-21.
